Welcome back, I hope everyone had a relaxing and wonderful break. It is time to get back into learning gear. TAKS testing is rapidly approaching and we will be hitting TAKS objectives on a daily basis. Objective 3 & 4 are our weak areas, which include the following items:drawing conclusions, making generalizations, cause and effect, fact and opinion, style, tone, mood, supporting conclusions with evidence from text, comparing and contrasting, author's purpose, and making reasonable predictions. These items will be hit heavily within the next two months.
Important Dates:
Reading TAKS Tutorials will begin on Tuesday Jan. 22nd and will be held on every Tuesday until the TAKS test.
--students will be assigned to tutorials based on past testing(06-07 TAKS, Benchmarking, and Core Exams)
--You will receive a letter if your child needs to attend TAKS reading tutorials.
Reading TAKS Test- The reading TAKS will be administered on March 4th.
