Library Notes
Academic Strategies and Read 180 classes come to the library every two weeks to check out or renew library books. Most Academic Strategies students check out a book tagged "Accelerated Reader" since they are required to get 10 points in Accelerated Reader (AR) every six weeks. AR quizzes may be taken on any computer in the library or in Computer Labs 105 and LRC1. Last day for students to take AR Quizzes for the 5th 6 weeks is Wednesday, April 9, 2008.
Students may come in to the library before school, at lunch, after school, or from a class with that teacher's permission.
Books are checked out for two weeks; the due date is on a sticker placed in the Date Due rectangle box in the back of each book. Students are responsible for returning their library books on the due date. Fines begin after one "free" day at 10 cents per day. Students must be clear of fines and overdues to check out books in the library.
