Makeup Work: *MISD/LHS procedure will be followed. If I have issued a calendar of due dates and the student is absent, the assignment is due the day that they come back and they will not be given an additional day in that situation. Otherwise, the student will be provided one day of makeup for each day absent.
The Last Word: By this time in a student's education, some students feel as if they do not need parental guidance and parents tend to want to give their child freedom to be independent and responsible. In my eyes, parents should always be part of their child's education. Therefore, I want the parents to always feel free to call, come by, or set up an appointment time to discuss any concerns that they may have. By the same token, I would like to know that I have the parents support if I should need to contact them. Strong parent-student-teacher relationships are healthiest for all involved. I am here to support the students. We have much to accomplish before they graduate, but that is my ultimate vision. We are a team! I look forward to an amazing, successful year together!! |
