Class Procedures
Students must have their supplies every day when they come to class and be seated when the bell rings. All assigned homework is turned after the tardy bell. All assignments and agendas should be written every day in your child's planner. Procedures for tardies and dress code are as stated in the school handbook.

8th Grade English Schedule
The spring semester will introduce "Harriet Tubman: Conductor of the Underground Railroad" and "Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl." With these stories we will focus on predicting, main idea, mood, tone and compare/contrast.
We are going to spend every week working on and preparing for passing the Reading part of the TAKS test. We will review test taking strategies and hit the objectives that we need the most work on.

Tutorials
If students are not getting their homework completed or if they are struggling, I strongly encourage morning tutorials for which I will give the student a pass. Please contact me if your child needs any help.
**Although I have practices after school, I am available for tutorials at 8:00 a.m. |
