The world is an opportunity for the old and young. Learning opens the door to everything life has to offer. |

Who is Ms. Burrichter?
|
I started off my educational career as a high school math teacher in a rural community, Effingham, Kansas. After moving from there to a Juvenile Delinquent Center in Topeka and then on to a high school in Media, PA, I ended up here in Midland teaching at Midland Freshman High School.
My eyes and heart turned towards counseling so off I went to UTPB. I graduated with a Master's of Art in Guidance and Counseling. Now in my 16th year as a counselor, having worked in 10 different schools, 6 elementary and 4 secondary schools, I still love what I am doing.
Making a difference in children's lives is why I am still working after 33 years in education. The excitement in a child's eye after one has learned something new, is able to deal with other's more effectively, or feels better about oneself makes my job all worthwhile.
