Kids Care is provided at the West Early Childhood Center for after school care for children attending West or Bunche Early Childhood Centers. Activities such as story time, work with manipulatives, art, science or nature, music/ dramatic play, outdoor time, and special projects, are avaliable for your child to choose from. A snack is prepared each day by the West cafeteria staff. Activities are designed to be age apprpriate and every effort is made to allow your child to have a choice in using his/her afterschool time constructively.
To register for KIDS CARE, you must complete a registration form and pay a $15 annual registration fee for each child enrolled. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Eligibility for assistance is determined on income level and size of household. To apply, you must fill out an application and income verification form. Each site has a site director and, depending on enrollment, 1 to 3 teachers. All staff are trained to work with school-age children and Camp Fire USA dictates their responsibilities, procedures, and actions.
