Pennies For Patients
"Pennies for Patients" is a campaign sponsored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The campaign seeks to increase the awareness of both these illnesses as well as raise funds to help those who may be inflicted and who cannot afford their medical bills. The "pennies" collected last year by MFHS students ($700) brought special recognition to this effort as the collection was the highest in the Southwest division by any school. This year, students collected $2189.87. WOW! That's three times as much as last year. The society will be sending a special banner of recognition and a $200 gift card.
Congratulations to Mr. Lacroix’s 5th period class for collecting the most money for the fundraiser: $664.27.
